Valentines' Day 2015

Happy Valentines Day ! Today is the day to celebrate love, family, and friends.But today you may be wondering, "How did Valentines even start ? "  Well luckily I have answers!
Claudius the 2nd was the Emperor of  Rome and  he wanted to go back war. But the men did not want to go because they had just gotten back from a long journey and wanted to spend time with there families. As you can imagine, this infuriated Claudius, so he banned any new marriages from taking place. However,  there was a priest named Valentine who preformed marriage ceremonies, and he believed in families and love. So Valentine started to marry people in secret. One day Valentine was caught and was sent to prison to be executed. Valentine was a Martyr for what what he believed about love,families, and God.

  First you have to  have 2 tsp. of school glue, 1/2 cup of water, spoon, food dye,construction paper, a straw,and pencils.

 

             

You start by folding paper and cutting a  heart out. Then mix the glue,dye,and water until it is mostly stirred together. Do not skip the glue!  It makes the water mixture less runny. Then use your spoon to put drops on the paper. Blow with the straw on droplets to make the tie dye effect
